While no two clients and no two spaces are the same, establishing a few preliminary expectations for the road ahead ensures that we can all navigate it smoothly, and arrive happily at the same place.
Here’s what you can expect when you hire Progressive Kitchens for your kitchen makeover:
Step One
INITIAL MEETING: ON-SITE CONSULTATION
Our first step will be to arrange a time to meet on-site. The goal of this first meeting is to take all necessary measurements required to complete an accurate drawing and estimate of the proposed project. This will give us an opportunity to get to know each other, and determine if we are the right people for your kitchen reno. We will discuss space planning and how you intend to use the space. We will determine if sub-trades may be required to complete the job.
The most valuable skill we offer at this point is careful listening. Your input is essential to the success of your project, so we will take all of your ideas, help you organize them and then incorporate them into a design.
Step Two
Design Presentation
A second meeting will take place in our showroom where we will review your proposed floor plans and elevations.The goal of this presentation is to give you a look at the quality of the products we offer and provide you with a sense of our design capabilities, while working within your budget goals.
As part of the design process at Progressive Kitchens, we will refine the layout, details and overall look of your kitchen to give you the best kitchen renovation. We will review cabinet material and colour, handles, accessories, countertop material and appliance specifications. Our goal is to help you pull together all the finishes into a brilliantly cohesive space.
We will go over pros and cons, addressing what we feel we can make fit into your space and discussing budget. We may even suggest a less expensive option for one aspect of your project to accommodate better investment in other areas – all without impact to the overall aesthetic. We will always adhere to your budget requirement as we work through the process. We offer a wide range of products and are confident we can stay on target.
Once we have the necessary selections confirmed, we now have what we need to complete a comprehensive quote and finalize drawings. We ask you allow 1-2 weeks to complete this step. If you have a more aggressive timeline in mind, we will do our best to accommodate you, but please bear in mind you can’t rush perfection!
Step Three
Finalize Plan – Sign-off and Order
We will have you into our showroom once more to present a package that will include 3D rendering as well as a detailed quote that will include the cost of supplying and installing your project. We will also answer any questions you may have.
Should you decide we are the team for you, before we order any supplies, we will require signoff of the plans and you will be asked to provide an initial deposit of 50%. 40% will be collected on delivery and the final 10% once the installation is complete.
We are unable to guarantee an install date until ALL decisions have been made, the deposit has been received, and this signoff has taken place. This ensures we are all on the same page in terms of vision, and commitment.
Production typically takes between 6-10 weeks, depending on the material chosen and the scale of your project.

With over 30 years in the industry in Kingston, we have worked with some of the very best tradespeople. We can assist you in hiring a contractor, if required. We can also make recommendations for trusted and reputable suppliers of lighting, flooring, appliances, and tile. It’s all part of our dedication to providing you with the best kitchen reno possible.
Step Four
Delivery and Installation
We have a dedicated team of installers who take great care in their work from start to finish. One of our project managers will contact you directly to coordinate your delivery and a timely installation. A typical installation will take 2-3 days to complete, though depending on the size and complexity of your project this may vary.

Step Five
Love Your Space
You’ve envisioned and planned, made selections and endured installation. Now, the work is complete and your new kitchen is all you dreamed it would be, so ENJOY!
